The World Health Organization declared the Corona virus illness a public health emergency of international concern on January 30th.
There was quite a bit of talk in my workplace about whether this is serious. My comment was, “By this time next year, you will know someone who died of the corona virus illness. It might be me. I qualify as elderly and have some chronic issues and hang around sick people.”
I thought that I was being realistic if pessimistic. That prediction turns out to have been optimistic. Not unusual for a doctor to be optimistic.
