Fifty years after: A different danger in the air

Fifty years ago tomorrow, I was not harmed by the unseen, deadly menace in the air at Kent State. Luckily, I was standing to the rear of the Guard. I may not be so lucky 50 years later. I am unlikely to face the explosive emanation of a rifle, but I could well be killed by the explosive emanation of a cough. That I was standing behind the Guard 50 years ago was just dumb luck. Luck won’t help me now. I can’t stand behind everyone. The world is going to be very different in 50 more years. I won’t be here. I wonder if it will be better. What do you think? Leave a comment.

I was not born 50 years ago so I’ve only heard about the story at Kent state it had to be horrific day/sight. Today with the COVID-19 going on, it could be just a scary is a gunshot. You don’t know who’s going to be giving you a virus if it’s a child, your parents, a friend, a coworker, or grandchild or someone you’re standing behind in in a line at the store. We have to be shield against it at all tabs with our facemasks. That might be a new normal now, everyone says it will pass, but will it? I won’t be here in 50 years but I will leave my legacy here to visit what might take place 50 years from now. May the 4th Be with you…..
